Parks, Recreation and Libraries Senior Consultant Job at BerryDunn
BerryDunn is seeking a Parks, Recreation and Libraries Senior Consultant to join our practice. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients providing services that include marketing, branding and communication planning. You will advise clients on cultural affairs, cost recovery and finance through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion engagement. The ability to collaborate with executive level leadership, elected and appointed officials, and understand community and organization dynamics is required. Reporting to the lead of the Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Practice, this position works remotely and serves clients throughout the US.
Travel Expectation: Travel to client sites can reach 20-50%.
- Lead the delivery of services to clients on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Create, perform, and complete analyses using effectiveness analytics and diagnostic tools.
- Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders and assist in documenting client needs and challenges.
- Communicate project and delivery status to our clients, team members, and other stakeholders, including written reports on regional demographics and trends, recreation assessments, and operation assessments.
- Serve as project manager for a variety of projects and lead teams as well as having a support role on projects.
- Provide support for client delivery of DEI efforts.
- Participate in marketing and business development activities, including writing blog posts, attending conferences, presenting sessions at state and national conferences, and leading/participating in prospective client business development meetings.
- Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assist with go/no-go decision-making, as well as help lead proposal, workplan, and budget development in collaboration with BerryDunn’s Business Development team and the rest of the Parks, Recreation and Libraries Team.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (public administration, parks, recreation, or communications/marketing).
- Minimum of 8 years of executive level experience on a national level in Parks, Recreation, or Libraries field.
- Experience managing budgets and financial tracking in local government is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including documenting complex issues succinctly and logically to a variety of audiences
- Ability to collaborate, create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies
- Adept at using the MS Office suite
- Master's Degree in related field is preferred (Public Administration, Recreation Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field).
