The position of Public Operations Parks Maintenance Worker I is a seasonal position, responsible for assisting with maintenance and repairs within the Parks division of the Public Works Department. This position operates equipment and hand tools in order to maintain Town landscaping, turf, athletic and recreation facilities, and irrigation system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

• Operates a variety of equipment to facilitate the maintenance of buildings and grounds such as lawn mowers, weed trimmer, etc.
• Requires the use of a variety of hand tools, and/or small power equipment, such as shovels, rakes, electric drills, sanders, etc.
• Maintains public grounds by planting, weeding, pruning, raking, mowing, picking up litter, sweeping, shoveling and general landscape maintenance
• Loads and unload chemical fertilizers, dirt, flowers, and equipment needed to complete tasks
• Assists with maintenance of public facilities for ice area and parks, cleaning, securing, and monitoring equipment and facilities
• Assists with set-up and breakdown of equipment for special events, and other areas of special events as needed

Qualifications
This position requires possession of Colorado Driver’s License and safe driving record for continued employment. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
