Morgan Territory Brewing is currently looking for a passionate, hard-working individual to join our production team. We are a well awarded brewery operating in Tracy, California. The ideal candidate for this position would have some packaging experience, partnered with a strong work ethic. Successful candidates should have the ability to learn and follow direction, work interdependently with other members of our team and a commitment to the production of world-class ales and lagers.
Job Summary
Perform any work supporting the Brew and Sales staff to package, produce and distribute quality products.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kegs in preparation to receive finished product.
- Fill kegs with finished product according to SOP’s
- Prepare raw materials for canning production runs.
- Prepare canning line and associated equipment for canning production runs.
- Assist with brewhouse operation: including milling grain and cleaning the lauter tun.
- Clean and sanitize fermenters in preparation to receive wort.
- Clean and sanitize centrifuge, pumps and required hoses to ensure quality product.
- Perform yeast drops
- Maintain tank temperatures according to the weekly schedule.
- Maintain proper awareness and adherence of SOP’s
- Help keep brewery clean and organized, including keg, hop, and grain storage areas, coolers and tank farm.
- Securing the facility at the end of production day/week, including completion of closing checklist and tank audit.
- Assist Brewers with projects and other tasks as needed
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed
- Willingness to work beer festivals while professionally representing Morgan Territory Brewing
Essential Functions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling, including working swing shifts
- Report to work on time
- Proper use and handling of chemicals
- Repeated lifting of 35lb returned kegs
- Repeated lifting of 55lb bags of grain
- Occasional lifting of 165lb kegs
- Must be able to wear company-supplied steel-toed boots throughout entire shift, and wear company-supplied safety glasses and gloves when necessary
- Safely operate pallet jacks, and other machinery
- Adhere to company policies
