Oyster Shucker Job at The Boathouse at Breach Inlet
We are looking for an individual with line cook and prep cook experience that would be a full time oyster shucker and be able to complete food prep tasks. Reliable transportation is required. Tardiness is not permitted. Minimum of 3 Years Experience required. Competitive wages. Evening shifts are typically 3-10 or 11pm.
Restaurant Cook Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping of ingredients according to recipes.
- Cooking Techniques - Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices (ServeSafe Food Handlers Certification)
- Working well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Completion of vocational school or a two-year associate degree
- At least three year of cooking experience
- Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time
- Exceptional time management skills

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
