Summary/Objective
This position is primarily responsible to ensure sewn goods produced by contract manufacturers strictly conform to established quality standards and individual product specifications by providing product specifications and reference samples to contract manufacturers for replication; performing incoming inspection; facilitating and managing the return of nonconforming product to the contract manufacturer for repair, credit or replacement; and controlling access to in-house product reference samples. This is a full-time position working normal business hours Monday through Friday.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspection of product sewn by contract manufacturers to ensure strict conformance to established quality standards and individual product specifications
- Provide product specifications and reference samples to contract manufacturers for replication
- Clearly identify and quarantine nonconforming product
- Facilitate and manage the return of nonconforming product to the contract manufacturer for repair, credit or replacement
- Evaluate problems, participate in analysis and make recommendations for possible corrective action
- Control access to in-house reference samples by logging new samples and checking samples in and out of the sample area
- Read and understand bills of material and product specifications, and provide feedback regarding potential errors, omissions or helpful augmentation
- Record the results of inspections, maintain controlled documents and test records, and fill out forms
- Acquire and maintain proficient knowledge of product, materials and standards
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and comply with all safety standards
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
