Outside Sales Representative

We are looking for a motivated, well-spoken outside sales representative to join our team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for receiving new sales leads via CRM, phone, and email. The ideal candidate will be aggressively “knocking on doors” as well as building up the sales funnel. The sales representative must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment during high-volume periods. The chosen candidate will also support the sales team as needed with composing and/or proofreading proposals for final submission, and making sales presentations with prospective clients.

Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Outside Sales
Representatives may also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Understanding customers' needs, identifying sales opportunities, and assigning them to appropriate parties. Schedule and perform product demonstrations with potential customers.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers using a CRM.
  • Perform pre-client walkthrough, and take off of facilities.
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads through research (LinkedIn, CRM, Community groups,

Facebook, etc.)

  • Answering inbound inquiries for pricing, service, and special projects.
  • Make outbound inquiries for pricing exceptional service projects.
  • Negotiating pricing and service plans consistent with specified company guidelines.
  • Processing qualified applicants and establishing new accounts in our CRM system.
  • Conducting outbound call activity with a focus on securing new business and helping generate leads for outside sales reps
  • Ensuring timely customer follow-up on all inquiries and e-mails
  • Prompt and courteous follow-up of prospective clients to ensure receipt of proposals and update the Sales Pipeline CRM
  • Contact, qualify, and develop ongoing relationships with assigned accounts to increase sales volume, utilizing a CRM system.
  • Regular interaction with the outside and inside sales force, working together to meet customer needs and secure new business.
  • Preparing quotes and proposals for potential clients
  • Assisting the Director of sales with various projects
  • Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers.
  • Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales.
  • Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic.

Outside Sales Representative Skills and Qualifications

A successful Outside Sales Representative candidate will have various skills and qualifications to perform the required duties, including:

Sales Representative Requirements:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
