The primary function of the Outside Parts Sales Representative is parts merchandising within an assigned territory, to be part of a high-performance team, & always exceeding the customer’s expectations. This individual must be motivated, resourceful, personable, a problem solver, ethical, and possess strong selling and closing skills. A successful Outside Parts Sales Representative continuously maintains excellent working relationships with customers, and constantly offering solutions and delivering value. Effective time-management, persistence, dedication, account planning skills, and teamwork ensure success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaison with garages, jobbers, fleet owners, and leasing company customers
- Promotes the sales of parts, accessories, and services
- Advisor to wholesale or retail customers
- Establishes method of payment on wholesale parts and obtains approval of credit, if applicable
- Solicitation of new business
- Maintains parts-related correspondence
- Arranges for and/or conducts shopping surveys of mass merchandising, selling fast-moving, & competitive parts
- Keep current with new product knowledge
- Keeps Parts Manager current for marketing and merchandising conditions in the field
General Skill Requisites:
- Proven selling and closing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Solid understanding of basic mathematics
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong computer knowledge and proficiency
- Valid driver’s license and can meet insurability requirements
- Two years of sales experience required
- Previous Kenworth and/or truck dealership experience are a plus but not required
