Palouse River Counseling in Pullman, Washington, is seeking an Outreach Worker to join the RNP Team. The position will provide outreach services throughout Whitman County to include long-term engagement and supportive services to referred individuals. This position will use intensive case management skills, recovery support and collaboration with local community partners, service providers and other community resources while working a variable schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• lived experience of recovery or the criminal justice system, support the use of recovery tools and model successful recovery behaviors;
• assist referred individuals in the process of recovery throughout Whitman County;
• advocate for the individual served with recovery support services, legal system and other community resources;
• provide information and training in appropriate life skills;
• assist in the development of information and support networks and connect with peers and the community.
• Effective communication, "can do" attitude, and computer literacy are required.

Qualifications:

• Must have lived experience with Substance Use Disorder, and/or the Criminal Justice System, and/or Mental Health.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral science preferred.
• Must have one year of active recovery and able to demonstrate it.
• Experience working with community behavioral health preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a WA Agency Affiliated License and pass a satisfactory background check.
