Outreach & Enrollment Specialist (Wetumka)

East Central Oklahoma Family Health Center, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist at the ECOFHC Wetumka location. Applicants must be self-motivated, read and write well, computer literate, and be comfortable talking with people. Must be able to travel daily. Marketing background preferred. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Essential Functions:

• Must sign an equipment list which is assigned.
• Sign an Agreement to represent ECOFHC.
• Keep equipment safe and secure.
• Complete Individual Outreach Work Plan weekly.
• Develop a map of ECOFHC's service area to focus on the uninsured population.
• Increase the community's awareness of the presence of the underserved populations by attending health fairs, community festivals, homeless shelter, technical centers and Colleges , etc. within the service area.
• Attend community meetings in service area (i.e. Turning Point)
• Be flexible for some nights and weekends.
• Keep flyers and brochures current and plentiful for distribution.
• Enroll clients in the Marketplace by completing on-line application.
• Enroll adults and children in the Medicaid or SoonerCare programs by completing the on-line application.
• Keep all information secure and safe.
• Provide a point of contact for clients to access available services.
• Research the communities they will be serving before going out in the field.
• Build relationships with organizations and identify services available.
• Develop a Community Resource Guide as applicable.
• Must be in the field unless assigned to the Health Center.
• Present a report to the CEO for monthly QM committee on how many people was approached and how many were enrolled in the Marketplace.
• Must become registered by the State of Oklahoma per law H.B. No. 3286.
• Fill in at Front Desk as needed during closed Marketplace Enrollment period
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Experience preferred in outreach activities.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be active, have the use of both hands, have good eyesight, good hearing, mentally quick and active. Requires physical stamina to fulfill the duties of this position.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend and twist

Accuracy/Dexterity:

• Must be exact in work, must be able to spot conditions or circumstances which might lead to mistakes.
• Must have good eye-hand coordination;
• Must have manual dexterity;
• Must be ambidextrous to a certain extent.

Mental Ability:

• Must be able to exercise full mental application at all times and under a variety of conditions;
• Must be able to shift attention from one subject to another with ease;
• Must have a receptive and retentive mind;
• Must be able to make decisions and
• Must be able to accept criticism or recommendations without becoming hostile or mentally disturbed.
