Our client, a top hedge fund, is looking for an AVP level professional to join their Options team.


  • Perform Daily Reconciliations between bookings and Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) to mitigate risk exposure to the firm.
  • Notify Middle Office of breaks on an hourly basis as we perform a Trade Date Balance. Notify Prime Account Reps and Middle Office of any End of Day Breaks and Start of Day Breaks.
  • Process Exercise request on a timely basis and notify the proper members when completed in OCC.
  • Monitor OCC Collateral and verify that we have enough requirements pledged to make sure we stay in Excess with OCC.
  • Notify all parties of any Exercise or Assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with IT teams to make more of a streamlined processing of client allocations and enhancements to the systems.
  • Monitor Corporate Actions that affect our clients’ positions that are sent from the OCC and notify the correct clients on adjustments if needed to be done to their accounts.
  • Assist in internal and external operation Audits which include regulatory audits from FINRA and OCC. Gathered the requested data in a timely manner and help management explain any issues that the auditors might find within the data points.
  • Help maintain and enhance the policies and procedures on a quarterly basis. Assist with the migration to a new Policy and Procedure database.
  • Create an Expiring database in which we reconcile all expiring positions vs OCC in a more automation process.
  • Create a database to reconcile booked trades vs cleared records for fee-based reconciliation for Operations and Finance.

  • 8-12 years of Listed Option processing experience
  • The ability to manage and resolve day to day issues that are specific to options such as balancing, exercises and assignments and escalate any issues to senior management
  • Handle stressful situations and lead others in providing a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner, constantly projecting a service first attitude
  • Diagnose inconsistencies in processes and controls
  • Assist with departmental metrics development and distribution
  • Maintain key controls and review process, where applicable, to ensure operating integrity, comply with internal and external regulators, involving an understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements as prescribed for the business unit
  • The ability to reconcile ADP/OCC, CAD ADP/OCC and CAD ADP/CDCC
  • Understanding the exercise and assignment process
  • Managing the Weekly Quarterly and Monthly Option Expirations
  • Knowledge of settling premiums and escrows through DTC /OCC and SOLA
  • Establish strong relationships with across departments (i.e., middle office, trading desk and technology
  • Knowledge of overall option processes such as CMTA’s, Account Transfers procedures to make daily operations in the department more scalable
