Operations Program Management Job at Blue Origin

As part of a passionate and growing team of experts, you will be accountable as an operations project manager (OPM) for planning, executing, and monitoring projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets. The OPM acts as the point-of-contact between elements of Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management. The OPM ensures cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the procurement, build, and test of complex products. Responsibilities:
- Effectively collaborate with the supporting functions to maintain Production schedules.
- Perform and lead others in the development of specific project plans, managing risks, tracking, reporting on status, and resolving blocking issues .
- Support driving the measurement, analysis, reporting, and improvement of the manufacturing team performance.
- Interface with various teams across the value stream and with varying levels of technical expertise to maintain schedules.
- Apply program management principles to develop executable plans, implementing creative solutions to complex problems.
- Partner with the Integrated Product Leads in all aspects of strategic planning for all product efforts.
- Perform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware builds.
- Oversee production budgets with the responsibility to analyze, manage and report on budget performance and variance analysis.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Blue Origin’s mission: Millions of people living and working in space to benefit earth!
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent and 7+ years of related experience in a manufacturing.
- Project management experience at various levels within a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of product lifecycle, specifically from development to production.
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings.
- Demonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Experience using schedule management tools such as P6 Primavera
- Degree in Engineering or other highly technical area
- PMP certification

Compensation
Blue pays competitively to local markets and as such adjustments to current pay may result (up/down) in the event of a transfer to another location.
Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $113,762-$166,851
Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $124,104-$182,020
