Job description
DHR Construction is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our golf course renovation operations and team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all field crews are equipped to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for managing our office-based team of employees, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to complete their work. When necessary, the Operations Manager also steps in to coordinate project operations directly.
The unique nature of the work we perform means client and employee needs are constantly evolving, so the Operations Manager must enjoy a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
This is an in-person role, based at our office in American Canyon, CA. This role does not work on the job sites.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the renovation projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Manage the Operations team, unblocking issues and ensuring the team is set up for success.
- Promptly responds to clients scheduling requests. Maintains dialog with client, provides updates and notifies of any schedule changes.
- Evaluates awarded projects, identifies and addresses any items that were not accounted for during bidding process. Assists with vendor negotiations and determines bulk vendors.
- Routine one-on-one debrief on projects with Project Coordinators, identifying and discussing specific project needs.
- Communicate regularly with clients and other stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress and to address any concerns or issues that arise.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
- Identifies and works to remove barriers to successful completion of the overall project; ability to look ahead and work with the Field and cross-functional teams to foresee upcoming needs or concerns.
- Ensure that all projects are completed within the allotted budget and timeline, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to address them.
- Hire and train the team as needed to ensure operations run seamlessly.

- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft products with an emphasis in Excel
Education and Experience
- A 2-year Associates of Applied Science degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field; may substitute with relevant experience in an office role
- At least 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience managing a team, with current/past team members as vocal advocates
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Track record of growth within and across companies
Bonus Skills
- Bilingual Spanish is a huge plus
- Background in civil engineering or architecture
- Familiarity with golf/golf course features
- Familiar with heavy construction equipment identification (not looking for operator)
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Quantity takeoffs and estimating
- Software: Sage 100 Contractor, Monday.com

Pay: $78,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
