Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, this position coordinates and evaluates the activities of all non-clinical support staff as it relates to orientation, training, education, competency, and performance. This includes developing, organizing and implementing programs, instruction and post-program analysis. The position serves as a resource to non-clinical support staff and the MVHS MG administrative team to achieve strategic and operational objectives of the MVHS Medical Group.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the education and training of newly hired non-clinical support staff, as well as current staff, including annual education and competencies.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Provides quality improvement and performance management support and input, as it relates to non-clinical support staff, to MVHS Medical Group administrative team.
  • Works closely with MVHS Medical Group administrative team and non-clinical support staff to improve work flow and efficiency to maximize productivity. Assists in the development, training and implementation of all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Assists MVHS Medical Group administrative team with recruitment and retention of non-clinical support staff. Assists with remediation and focus upon improvement of skills as necessary.
  • Support the design, development, evaluation, and optimization of the electronic health record system to improve health care quality, efficiency, and satisfaction among providers, support staff and patients. Develops, trains and implements corresponding workflows accordingly.
  • Assists with the identification, evaluation, and assessment of new care delivery technology, developing recommendations on the impact of integration with existing workflows and systems.
  • Active member of MVHS MG EMR/IT Committee and other ad-hoc Committees as needed.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Equivalent related experience may be considered in place of education requirement.
  • Experience in medical office, acute care or ancillary healthcare services.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred:

  • Experience in management/leadership and/or education

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

  • Certified Epic Principal Trainer (or become certified within 1 year of starting the position)
