Job Description SummaryClass A office building looking for an Operating Engineer. This is a union position (Local 99 Operating Engineers) and requires a DC 3rd license + Universal CFC.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate and monitor ALL building systems.
Assist the team in maintaining compliance with the Operations audit policy and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with the audit program.
Provide support to the Chief Engineer on all standard JLL initiatives such as 4Sight, Operations Audit, IPMP, Energy Star, etc.
Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of the base building systems
Identify system performance deficiencies and respond to operational and emergency situations.
Ensure an adequate inventory of tools and other supplies to operate the building.
Protect and improve the value of the owner’s asset and ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their expected life through proper maintenance procedure.
Assist the Chief Engineer in managing contract work by becoming familiar with and enforcing the scope of services and the building standard rules and regulations.
Understand the preventive maintenance and work order system for the building and complete assigned tasks completely, including completion of WO or PM ticket.
Develop a complete knowledge of all building machinery, equipment, and systems.
Complete training as assigned aimed at safety and expanding the capabilities of all engineering team members.
Work with the Chief Engineer to manage all tenant and capital improvement construction projects from construction document review to project closeout and completion.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Assist Management team with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) and take appropriate actions.
Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, control, and fire, life and safety systems to keep building systems up to applicable standards.
Operate the facility in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements. Work overtime/weekends as needed.
Requirements:
DC 3rd Class License
Universal CFC certification
5+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance supervision.
3+ years of maintenance management experience.
Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
Lifting a minimum of 80 lbs.
Willingness to learn/teach other teammates
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47.73 per hour
License/Certification:
