Offshore Field Service Technician III (14X14)

Position Summary:

Axip Energy Services, LP is a leading provider of natural gas compression solutions to companies in the domestic oil and gas industry. The Offshore Field Service Technician II performs maintenance and repair activities on gas engines, compression and/or process equipment, at various customers’ offshore locations in the Gulf of Mexico and/or inland waters, and as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple types of compressor configurations.

• May serve as a resource to others field service technicians with less experience.

• Will provide all types of repairs on assists as needed, includes all categories of repairs from minor repair to major overhauls.

• Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team.

• Is dedicated to customer service and maintains professional working relationships with customers and co-workers.

• Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are kept clean, safe, and presentable.

• Responsible for submitting accurate, timely maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.

• It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSE policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of safety standards and regulations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, skid wiring, process equipment, etc.

• Familiarity with latest industry technologies

• Working knowledge and adherence to relevant HSE procedures and regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record

• Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred

• Offshore training certificates

• Experience working on Caterpillar and Waukesha Series IV Engines.

• Intermediate computer skills, including engine specific software (Cat and Waukesha, etc.), Internet Explorer and Outlook

• 7+ years’ experience with natural gas engines and compressors and a working knowledge of production equipment as well as electrical systems, including panel boards, skid wiring, etc.

Work Environment:

• Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed

• Ability to stay at customer’s offshore site for 14 consecutive days at a time

• Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by role (includes respiratory protection medical requirements as required by role)

• Required to stand, walk, twist, balance and stoop with good balance

• Required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds

• Regularly asked to climb in and around equipment, stairs and slanted ladders

• Ability to meet the OSHA offshore minimum safety standards

• Drive and work in inclement weather for extended periods
