Office Specialist - Utility Customer Service Job at City of Topeka
The City of Topeka is seeking a dedicated administrative professional to serve as the Utility Business and Customer Service Specialist. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks and performs a full range of standard and non-standard assignments related to utility billing or accounting.
Additional duties include:
- Review exceptions and utilize reports through Neptune 360 to identify billing issues.
- Resolve elevated billing and/or account issues from billing, call center or Shawnee county staff members.
- Assists in developing and making recommendations for changes to Utility accounts and Utility billing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Administer and promote ebilling program.

Minimum qualifications: Associates degree in office management, office technology, or closely related field. Work history may be considered to meet requirement. Candidate must have at least one year of experience in data entry work. Must possess and maintain a valid class C Kansas driver’s license and meet City insurability guidelines.
Entry rate of pay up to $24.43 DOQ
