JOB DESCRIPTION
- Must be proficient in all areas of office operations.
- Maintain accurate and current case files of all clients.
- Good organizational skills.

- Maintain a positive working relationship with all collaborative agencies, vendors, businesses, coworkers and individuals who contact The Salvation Army via any means of communication at all times.
- Must have a high level of self-initiative.
- Requires skills with regard to motivating people, communicating our policy effectively, and giving directions of any type required, as well as, task initiation, follow through and completion of all tasks in a timely manner.
- Must display a high level of ability to carry out all assignments in a manner that promotes and enhances The Salvation Army’s mission, reputation, policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work effectively with Word and Excel software programs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Retention of work place and individual confidentiality at all times.
- Principal Functions------------------------------------------------------------------
To welcome everyone that enters our building either physically or by any other means of communication phone, email, fax etc.… with the love of God without discrimination. Find out each person’s reason for reaching out to us. Offer any assistance possible from The Salvation Army. In the event we cannot assist them, help them to leave the conversation with possible resources to follow up in order to possibly resolve their concerns. Always embrace each case with the love of the Lord and personally carry it through to completion.
- Duties and Responsibilities---------------------------------------------------------
- Communication:
This position is designed to provide an inviting welcome and direction to those calling, attending, or connecting with The Salvation Army. This includes but is not limited to answering the telephone, reception of individuals, and basic supervision of volunteers.
- Soup Kitchen:
The office manager will work in conjunction with the Friendly Kitchen program in order to provide organization of calendar of volunteers and various other groups, actively seek other volunteer groups to participate in the Soup Kitchen, and provide coverage for days of cooking when others are not available. Maintain all items needed to keep program operating effectively.
- Administrative Paperwork:
Duties include maintaining and submitting monthly statistical reports and monthly CAP reports, organizing and maintaining Corps files.
- Social Services:
This position will be interviewing food pantry recipients and individuals seeking financial assistance in order to determine action plans of assistance for individuals in accordance with social service guidelines.
- These listed items are the main responsibilities of this employee. This position also includes miscellaneous duties that may not be specified within the body of this job description but are a required part of this job at the request of the Corps Officer.
- This job description is a document that will be reviewed and modified on a regular basis. It will be amended at least once per year.
8. Thanksgiving & Christmas Season
- Coordinate as assigned all aspects of the application process.
- Coordinate as assigned all aspects of the Angel Tree process.
- Coordinate as assigned all aspect of our Thanksgiving and Christmas drive with ALL that it entails. (No area of this is excluded)
9. Relational-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Collaborate with other local agencies when needed to help all clients with total effectiveness and efficiency.
- Work with DHQ staff with regard to statistics as needed.
- Work with New Hampshire Food Bank when placing orders as needed.
- Work with our local companies and agencies that assist us during the year.
- Communicate effectively with Corps Officers and all other employees at all times in a timely fashion.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
