Tax Season Help Wanted!
We are currently accepting resumes for tax season temporary help. This position will run approximately January 2023 – April 2023. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing a career in public accounting to gain insight into what tax season is like. Tax season is fast paced and challenging, but also a fun time at Burkey Cox Evans & Bradford.
Office Assistant/ Reception
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Front Desk Reception:
This position requires an individual that is professional in demeanor and appearance, organized, level-headed and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. This position is responsible for greeting clients, answering phones (multi-line system), scheduling appointments, processing payments, receiving client work, distributing client work to be picked up, maintaining office cleanliness, organization of resources and other duties, as assigned. The candidate must have customer service experience, ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize in a high-pace environment.
Tax Return Assembly:
This position is responsible for assembling the tax returns prepared by our accounting staff. They will learn first-hand what forms are used in the preparation of a tax return and in what order they need to be assembled to be provided to the client. They will then scan and save all pertinent information used to prepare the clients tax return, as well as the returns themselves into our secure data vault. They will also make phone calls to clients regarding missing documents and items ready for pickup. The candidate that fills this position must be able to focus on the task at hand, must be detail-oriented and organized, adaptable to the learning of various computer programs, and able to follow tasks through to completion.
Scanning Clerk:
This position is also responsible for scanning and saving all pertinent information used to prepare the clients tax return including relevant documents into our secure data vault. This position will also assist other areas where needed, including filing client folders and information. The candidate that fill this position must be able to focus on the task at hand, must be detail-oriented and organized, and able to follow tasks through to completion.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 1 year (Preferred)
