Prometheus Solar is a full-service design, sales, and installation firm located in Flagstaff AZ, serving Northern Arizona. We carry a commercial/residential electrical license through the state of AZ and specialize in the installation of off-grid PV systems, grid-tied PV systems, upgrades, and service calls. We employ two NABCEP Certified Installation Professionals and would welcome another.

Position Summary

Prometheus Solar is seeking an experienced off-grid solar expert to join our existing off grid installation and management team. We are seeking someone with a minimum of two years of off grid specific experience who can demonstrate proficiency installing, programming, and troubleshooting different brands of off-grid solar equipment, batteries, inverters, and generators. In addition, this individual would take customers through the sales process, design systems and provide creative solutions.

Duties

- Design and sell off-grid, battery-based PV systems based on customer needs and site conditions

- Perform site audits for new and existing off-grid PV systems (must be comfortable traveling to remote areas, climbing ladders, walking on roofs, entering crawl spaces, and communicating with off-grid clients

- Find solutions to complex design issues by utilizing all resources including co-workers, manufacturers, distributors, engineering partners, and subcontractors

- Effectively communicate system design to planset draftsman

- Submit and secure permits with a variety of AHJ’s

- Manage entire project from initial customer contact through installation

- Demonstrate a high level of ability to recognize and prioritize duties throughout project

- Utilize project management software platform to track sales interactions, equipment requirements, scheduling and project updates (training provided)

- Regularly communicate with the customers, operations manager and off-grid installation crew

- Manage incoming jobs and schedule based on availability of customer and crew

- Order and track equipment for upcoming jobs

- Operate forklift and pallet jack to receive/move system equipment within the warehouse

- Educate customers on safe operation and maintenance of off-grid PV equipment as well as expectations for equipment capabilities and limitations

- Provide a high level of technical support for customers with existing off-grid PV systems

Required Level of Experience and Qualifications:

- Solid understanding of off-grid solar electric design, battery storage and installation best practices

- Understanding of applicable 2017 National Electric Code requirements

- Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to get projects closed and completed independently

- Exemplary communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

- Strong customer service skills

- A background working in PV and energy storage

Preferred Experience

- Experience with industry tools

- Experience with Sol-Ark, Outback Power, Victron, Schneider Electric, Midnite Solar, lead-acid and LFP batteries, but training will be provided if needed

- PV + storage system design

- NABCEP installer or technical sales certification

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
