The primary role of an Occupational Therapist at JayCare is to addresses the fine motor development, visual motor integration and sensory integration in order to maximize a child's ability to function in their everyday life.
The care provided by a pediatric Occupational Therapist is fundamental to maximize a child’s fine motor skills and improving their quality of life.
The most important years for improving motor skills in children are ages birth to five. Brain development is most crucial during these years, so a developmentally-delayed child will benefit the most from early intervention Occupational Therapist.
As an Occupational Therapist at JayCare, you should expect to:
- Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals.
- Provide various strategies to family members or caregivers and facilitate active involvement to carry-over in day-to-day activity.
- Provide services in different settings such as homes, daycares, centers, or other community settings.
- Ensure that progress is evident and that family members or caregivers are active participants in early intervention through addressing specific goals and communicating with the entire team.
Requirements:
- PA Occupational Therapy (OT) license
- Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
Pay: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
JayCare Therapy is currently offering Occupational Therapists’ an additional $10 per hour for all bilingual cases.
We will build your caseload according to your areas and times of availability. We are looking for full time, part time, or even just one day a week. We will customize your caseload to meet your geographic and scheduling preferences. We are open to hiring Occupational therapists' with little or no experience in the field, as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training. This is a wonderful opportunity with room for growth within the organization.
