Nursing Svcs Mgr Job at Latham Centers Inc
Responsible to oversee and manage the quality of medical and psychiatric services and follow up provided to all students. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with all medical collaterals. Develop and/or revise, as needed, all nursing related policies and procedures. Implement and/or ensure medical compliance with all agencies medical/nursing related policies and procedures.
Supervise nursing team members as assigned. Schedule, participate in and ensure follow up with the weekly psychiatric consultation. Oversee initial and annual training for staff who administer medications as required by DESE and EEC. Development and implement a training plan to support compliant medication administration. Provide “on call” medical nursing coverage on a rotating basis for medical emergencies. Provide medical trainings, including medical orientation and annual trainings, to support the care of population served. Oversight of individuals’ medical records, assessments and reports for regulatory compliance. Lead coordination of medical care for high risk and recurrent medical conditions of the students and assist in planning/implementation of support. Participate in Department Head Meetings and Multidisciplinary Meetings. Attend all mandatory trainings and keep license and certifications current. Assure compliance with all DESE, EEC, DCF, COA and OSHA regulations. Obtain and maintain knowledge of and implement medical best practices as they relate to Prader-Willi Syndrome and other medical diagnoses as needed. Remain up to date as the needs of the population change and develop research based changes to standards of care.
