Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Performs non nursing procedures as taught and approved by the community to promote and maintain the health status of the resident; i.e., turns down and makes beds, checks and fills water pitchers, turns on radio and television, assists with menu selections.
Serves trays and nourishments to residents. Prepares dining rooms for meals; i.e., setting up tables, serving food, etc. Checks trays for food consumption. Reports findings to Charge Nurse. Cleans up dining room after meals and resets for next meal.
Reports care provided to the charge nurse to ensure communication flow and to meet community requirements (nail care, socialization, attendance at programs, etc.).
Using UPRITE principals, ensures assistive devices are properly labeled, answers call bells on assigned neighborhood and reports to charge nurse any device needing labeled or resident need.
Assists residents with transportation to activities and appointments within the community to ensure resident safety and timely arrival. (Does not lift or transfer residents.)
Escorts and encourages residents to participate in Lifestyle Engagement group activity programs and provides programming as assigned.
Maintains a neat, clean, sanitary environment in order to provide a therapeutic environment. Cleans and organizes resident rooms, and kitchen refrigerators.
Identifies and suggests innovative approaches and participates in implementing performance improvement opportunities.
Volunteers for and/or cooperatively accepts new responsibility for special projects or assignment.
Education and/or Experience
No education or experience required.
Computer Skills
Basic skills. Familiarity with Microsoft programs
