LPR International is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work full time at the U.S. Army Fort Hunter Liggett Medical Aid Station in Jolon, CA. In this position, the successful candidate will provide medical care and treatment to patients, maintain records and will be responsible for pharmacy operations within the Medical Aid Station at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA to include oversight of the Pharmacy Technician. The NP will be provided a light caseload working with a team of 5 support personnel. This is a great position suitable for ex-military, NPs nearing retirement or individuals looking to ease their way with a lighter caseload.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a master's degree in nursing from an accredited educational program in the area of expertise or specialty indicated by the position. Areas of specialties for NP positions include, but are not limited to, Acute Care, Community Health, Family, Geriatric, Home Health or other specialties identified for the position.

Education:

  • Graduated from an accredited master's level or doctoral program with additional knowledge to practice in their clinical specialty.
  • Contractor personnel shall be required to meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements in Army Regulation 351-3 (AR 351-3) or as determined by the provider's State of licensure, whichever is more stringent. The Government will not reimburse for these costs.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a NP in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands and be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine at the MTF where services are provided.
  • Must have or obtain a current, valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number prior to performing the contract services. Any change to the DEA requirements to obtain a valid DEA registration number is applicable when the incumbent's existing DEA registration expires.
  • Have and maintain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Centre (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Be certified by a nationally recognized certifying body appropriate to the specialty area of practice.
  • Possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the provider is licensed.
  • Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is desirable, but not required.

Experience:

  • Have a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years working as a Nurse Practitioner.
