Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years. Responsibilities

Mercy San Juan’s Family Birth Place is the level 3 within the greater Sacramento Dignity Hospitals. Our Family Birth Center is Joint Commission Certified for Perinatal Care and Baby Friendly designated. FBC consists of a 12 bed labor unit, 2 OR’s, a 14 bed private postpartum unit, a PACU and 2 triage bays. We average 160-180 deliveries a month, and the department is supported by 7 Nurse Shift Managers, a Perinatal Safety Nurse and a Perinatal Nurse Educator.

The incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team, providing leadership, personal/professional development, and conducting him/herself professionally.

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Fetal monitoring experience required
  • Current CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS & NRP certificate from American Heart Association
  • NCC fetal monitoring certificate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course completion within 12 months of hire
  • Cesarean Section experience preferred

Pay Range

$63.38 - $76.97 /hour
