NIGHT AUDIT SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY:
The Night Audit Supervisor is responsible for assisting the operation of the Front Office in an attentive friendly efficient and courteous manner providing all guests with quality service prior to and throughout their stay while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. This role specifically supports the Front Office functions during the overnight hours.
*Must be flexible to work 4 days per week and must include weekend availability - Shift is 11:00PM to 7:30AM
*Training will be approximately 2 weeks and training will be done on the
3:00PM to 11:30PM Shift
This position will undergo and pre-employment background and drug screen
Night Audit Supervisor Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
- Respond to all quest requests problems complaints and/or accidents presented at the Front Desk or through Reservations in an attentive courteous and effective manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance to brand and company training using the steps to effective training according to Hansen standards.
- Conduct all 90 day and annual Guest Service employee performance appraisals according to the S.O.P’s
- Supervise the Night Audit function and monitor the House Charge Accounts and Flash Report for accuracy.
- Ensure that no-show revenue is maximized through consistent and accurate billing.
- Operate radios efficiency and professionally in communicating with hotel staff. Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the department.
- Ensure correct and accurate cash handling at the Front Desk
- Maintain and monitor ‘Lost and Found’ procedures and policies according to Hansen Hospitality standards.
- Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
- Schedule guest wake-up calls and reservations for the following day
- Verify that all EOD work has been performed by other departments
- Run EOD computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift
- Prepare guest bills for next-day checkouts and process reservation cards
- Balance cash drawers and record receipts
- Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
- Post charges to the guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift.
- Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
- To Verify that all charges posted from the POS Software, SPA software had reached the correct guest folios and not missing.
- Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts.
- Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
- Summarizes results of operations for management.
- Follow the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist
- Performs wake-up calls.
- Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).
- Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
- Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed
Essential Requirements:
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and 2 years of related experience; or a 4-year degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of a particular need.
- Must be effective at listening and understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
- Available to work weekends, and major holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
- Able to lift to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
- Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
