Wichita State University is seeking a Master Scheduler to join our team! This position will collaborate with lab directors and outline the life cycle of the program. Individuals be able to perform schedule analysis, produce status reports, and identify schedule impacts for management.

Summary:

Assists in the planning and scheduling of projects, to maximize efficiency and mitigate issues. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a work breakdown structure (WBS)and develops, maintains and updates existing program schedules throughout the program life cycle in collaboration with the control account manager and integrated program team (IPT) . Performs schedule maintenance, provides periodic updates, and develops and delivers status reports. Coordinates and facilitates stakeholder reviews, and summarizes and submits meeting notes.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and WBS Dictionary.
  • Gathers and compiles information needed to build and maintain program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including major milestones and deliverables.
  • Performs schedule analysis.
  • Assists in the development and review of schedule variance analyses, and recovery or corrective action plans to identify schedule impacts for management attention.
  • Works cross-functionally with IPT.
  • Produces status reports and metrics for schedule performance. Assists in management and program reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Project Management, Business, Management, or related field
  • One (1) year of project management or related experience; or equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Strong business acumen with general understanding of standard project management processes
  • Strong team player
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn MS Project; proficient with MS Project, preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a "U.S. Person”
