Responsibilities:
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems
- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed using work order system.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery
- Assist in Continuous Improvement projects, such as 5S events.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Associate degree in the Maintenance field and 1-2 years' experience within manufacturing setting.
- Troubleshooting experience including mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, motor controls, and PLCs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
