Job Summary
The social worker provides comprehensive case management services to the residents’ in care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain case files of residents’ intake, medical, behavioral and legal documentation
- Write comprehensive adjustment reports for residents’ upcoming court date which reflects their progress in detention and relationships with peers and staff
- Maintain log book of all residents who enter the facility
- Hold weekly individual sessions with each resident
- Hold weekly group sessions with all residents
- Maintain documentation regarding visitation, medication administration, and phone calls made by residents
- Implement a behavior system and address maladaptive behaviors appropriately
- Make bi weekly visits to school and build relationships with teachers, faculty, social work team, and leadership (principals, assistant principals, NSD liaison, etc.)
- Build relationships with parents and keep them informed of child’s progress
- Maintain weekly documentation of case record reviewing
- Attend monthly meetings for case managers
- Collaborate with director and house supervisor to maintain communication of facility occurrences
- Attend school provider meetings monthly
- Work closely with supervisor to maintain a healthy culture between staff and residents
- Establishes and maintains relationships with all family and collaterals; assesses child and family needs, provides home visits; assists families with securing entitlements and support services
- Scheduling visits if ordered by court order
- Participates in intake, treatment and discharge planning
- Establishes and maintains liaisons with all case related collaterals
- Participates in residence community meetings and other residence activities
- Any other related duties as required
Educational Requirements
Master’s Degree in Social Work required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
