We are looking for: mRNA Analytical Development Scientist - VIE Contract (W/M)

Target start date: 01/05/2023

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the implementation of biochemical and biophysical assays
• Perform LC-MS analysis (Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry) for analysis of proteins from cell-based assay, lipid impurity characterization, and mRNA sequence determination, etc.
• Perform methods development for mRNA using relevant techniques
• Be responsible for analytical method alignment between Marcy and Waltham sites
• Be responsible for the transfer of the Methods
• Organize the biochemistry activities in the lab according to current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use - ICH guidelines and Pharmacopeia) and Sanofi HSE (health and safety) policies
• Provide scientific support to the team in technical problem solving, investigations and troubleshooting
• Participate to the Implementation of Analytical process support
• Review and approve documentation (SOP - Standard Operating Procedure, protocols, reports…)
• Review of analytical results if required, Follow up on results and trending data
• Identify continuous improvement suggestions

Requirements:

• Master’s or scientific degree at PhD level, minimum 1 year of experience of pharma/biotech industry experience
• Skilled in biochemical and biophysical characterization methods (LC-MS, CGE, UPLC, DLS, SEC …)
• Strong experience in Development and knowledge of GMP/non GMP environment
• Knowledge of nucleic acid/oligonucleotides/raw material chemistry
• Knowledge in lab organization and regulatory requirements
• Ability to propose appropriate method improvement
• Experience in Manufacturing Processes
• Good knowledge of analytics, processes and products, development, validation/transfer and/or production/control techniques. Mastery of IT tools, project management and meeting facilitation techniques, document writing and presentation of summaries
• Able to work independently and collaborate in team, enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Demonstrate Play to Win Culture Behaviors, (Stretch, take action, act for patients and Customers, Think Sanofi first)
• Fluent in English
