Excellent career opportunity for experienced motorhome design engineer with Gulf Stream Coach RV, headquartered in Nappanee, Indiana; a leading builder of quality and innovative RVs, to oversee engineering functions. This position is best served by a dynamic leader with a creative process to design and inspire next generation Motor Homes. The person in this position will be a working supervisor and have broad responsibility for all engineering/design operations.

General Responsibilities:

- Lead the design team in evaluating floor plans, models, and concepts

- Work with teams on continuous improvement and quality initiatives

- Maintain and enhance existing product lines and models

- Supervise and oversee the work of plant engineers/draftsmen

- Report to Gulf Stream President

- Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations Managers for efficient, intelligent, popular and cost-effective design, well suited for high volume production

Requirements/Qualifications:

- 5 years of RV motorhome industry experience as an design engineer

- 5 years of successful experience in leading, developing, and training a strong, flexible, and productive teams

- Design engineering degree preferred

- Proficiency in Auto CAD and other design/drawing tools and software.

- Vast experience in design, drafting, and structural knowledge of motorhomes

- Knowledge and understanding of RVIA and NHTSA Codes is a must.

- Knowledge of Ford QVM program is beneficial.

- Gulf Stream has a national presence; knowledge of state-by-state unique requirements are a must

- This is a hands-on position; shop floor experience preferred
