PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The position of Project Manager at HomeXpress Mortgage has the responsibility to manage multiple activities simultaneously and apply sound professional judgement and industry knowledge to resolve issues and ensure positive outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects by defining objectives for project teams, engaging stakeholders, measuring risk and performance, identifying and resolving obstacles to deliver solutions that keep our clients and fulfillment team at the center of the process to assure project success.
- Provides guidance for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Shares project management knowledge and experience of skills with others, including tools and techniques, defining those most appropriate for the environment, and establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
- Reports on project success criteria results and metrics.
- Prepares estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project.
- Exercises flexibility, sets and manages expectations, builds teams. Adept at problem solving. Expert communicator. Facilitates quality decision making.
- Leader who drives performance and inspires loyalty and trust. Able to influence through personal power, select talent and manage work to timely completion.
- Skillfully employ technical mastery of project management. Proficient at meeting management and reporting capabilities.
- Applies knowledge and experience as subject matter expert in fintech, mortgage fulfillment and/or operations practices, including tools and techniques, adopting those most appropriate for the environment
- Balance the project demand for cross-functional business units.
- Oversee the project development, refine strategic change, process improvement, regulatory changes, system enhancements/ implementations, digital improvements and technology roadmap supporting the business goals and vision.
- Facilitate successful project delivery including the strategic planning, scheduling, execution and closing of all assigned projects.
- Heavy emphasis on deliverables and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to maintain and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Aligning project expectations and managing key stakeholders within the organization
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Defining project level tasks and resource requirements
- Develop and present reports defining project progress while tracking deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 or more years of experience in project management within the mortgage/financial industry.
- Expert knowledge within PM Models/Methodologies (Agile/Six Sigma/Lean/Scrum).
- Experience managing and delivering cross—functional projects
- Experience leading initiatives such as Consumer Lending, Loan Origination, Residential Mortgage, Financial Services, etc.
- Mortgage fulfillment (end to end: loan application through investor delivery) experience required.
- Financial Services/Mortgage experience is a must.
- Exposure to financial institution policies and regulations.
- Experience across a wide range of Mortgage business units.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, must be able to clearly convey information.
- Experience with various project management tools.
- Experience with change management and transformation office.
EDUCATION:
- Master’s Degree highly preferred; and/or combination of expert business experience along with expert level PM certifications.
- PM certifications highly preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· This position is in an office setting with computer and general office equipment. The position requires the ability to move freely around within the department and other department locations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
