What You Will Do at Aptar Pharma:

The primary mission of our Injection Molding Maker is to operate injection molding and molding support equipment to successfully meet production demands and quality standards. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain, repair, clean and alter molds, tools, and equipment and document all work

• Must be able to safely operate lathes, mills, surface grinders
• Must be able to use precision measuring equipment

• Fit spare parts for existing tools, make some mechanical parts
• Insure all molds are prepared for daily production
• Achieve adequate production levels while maintaining the expected product quality
• Ensure molded components meet all product quality criteria including dimensional criteria
• Participate in the analysis of defects
• Maintain a safe work environment following Company’s safety, ISO standards
• Optimize the functioning of machines and maintain quality standards
• Analyze blueprints for mold requirements
• Communicate to supervisor and other technicians and document all technical information and issues
• Participate in the reduction of maintenance costs

What Aptar Pharma Is Looking For:

• Minimum years’ experience working as a mold maker
• High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-yr Technical Degree preferred
• Knowledge of molding process and ability to troubleshoot problems
• Experience and ability to manufacture mold components that have close or strict dimensional tolerances
• Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring/inspection tools
• General knowledge of plastic materials and processes
• Ability to operate all tool room equipment proficiently, good mechanical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interface with colleagues and suppliers
• Good injection mold and mechanical knowledge
• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing within either plastics, plastics dispensing/bottling, pharmaceutical or biomedical, biochemical industries a plus!
• Effective computer skills
