JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mold Fabricator is responsible for constructing, repairing, and carrying out the preventative maintenance and inspection program for urethane molds. Also manages the raw material and spare parts inventory. Accurate recordkeeping of fabrication, preventative maintenance and repair activities are required. The mold fabricator is a member of the facilities maintenance team and is responsible for assigned general maintenance duties for the building and offices. Required to perform work in a safe manner, meet quality standards, follow work schedules, maintain 5S standards and work towards meeting company metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, inspect and repair urethane molds. Primarily wood molds with metal hardware.
- Carry out and document preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance on the urethane mold inventory.
- Member of the facilities maintenance team, perform tasks as assigned
- Follow all SOPs and Work Instructions as required.
- Responsible to report any equipment, manufacturing, quality or health and safety issues to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
- Maintain tool inventory assigned to your area
- Ensure assigned areas and activities are in compliance with all safety guidelines.
- Maintain assigned areas to standards as dictated by 5S practices.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the carpentry trade is required.
- Must possess the ability to estimate time and materials needed for assigned work projects
- Significant experience with standard hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Effective oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and ERP software
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a team environment
