Bob Sumerel Tire Company is seeking an experienced Mobile Trailer Technician.

Experience with trailer body work, air brakes and federal DOT’s a must.

Duties will include:

• Utilize a mobile service truck to complete repairs and maintenance at a customer location
• Work directly with customers on repairs and fleet inspections
• Preventative maintenance and repair all systems on Semi-Trailers to meet the standards set forth by DOT
• Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races and associated parts
• Repair electrical and lighting systems
• Repair or replace chassis components such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assemblies, axles, and sub frames
• Repair mud flap brackets and dolly leg assembles
• Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim
• Repair roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails
• Fleet inspections
• Conform to all safety and health standards

Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in trailer repair.
• Previous experience in welding, carpentry, and mechanic
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Must be able to obtain a medical card within 60 days of employment
• Must have own tools
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and / or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and highly organized

$24 plus - based on experience level
