The Licensed Clinician serves as the Mobile Crisis First Responder and is the clinical lead in providing community-based, face-to-face clinical assessments via rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. The First Responder identifies the Individual’s immediate needs, determines the level of risk, de-escalates/resolves the crisis, collaboratively develops crisis safety plans, and/or facilitates referral to a higher level of care if indicated.

Community—based response includes, but is not limited to: homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited school with a valid unrestricted license or restricted license in the state of Georgia.

Experience: Minimum one to two years’ clinical experience. Experience in assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization skills and familiarity with the mental health, addictive disease, and intellectual or developmental disability service delivery system is preferred.
