Job Title: Millwright
Department: Operations
Reports To: Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE
Assemble, dismantle, and repair machinery and equipment while working within precise limits or standards of accuracy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

• Operates machinery and equipment. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment, using hand and power tools.
• Move, assemble, and install machinery and equipment such as shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, and mechanical clutches, and conveyors, tram rails, using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Performs general laborer, pipefitter, carpenter, and electrician duties.
• Performs arc welding, mig welding, tig welding and oxyacetylene cutting.
• Perform preventative maintenance; lubrication of machinery, bearing replacement, seal replacement, cleaning of parts.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education/ Required: High School diploma or equivalent; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
Licensure/ of education and experience.

Special Required: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
Knowledge/ fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
Skills written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Understanding of fluid mechanics and components of involved processes. Thorough knowledge of load-bearing capabilities of equipment, blueprints, and technical instructions.
