Military Sales and Strategy Business Operations Analyst

The Military Sales and Strategy Business Operations Analyst will be working for the Bell Military Sales and Strategy (MSS) Operations team. This position will report to the Senior Manager of MSS Operations.

This position will support Campaign Leads in the development and execution of campaign objectives, the administration of multiple new business tools and processes, as well as supporting capture and proposal management, and annual operating plan programming and execution. This position will also assist in building strategic plans to effectively conduct department and company-wide training, as well as researching, developing, and participating in appropriate trade shows.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage current MSS Operations processes and process improvements. Track and document changes to MSS functional and business processes and address post-implementation issues and revision requests.
  • Conduct organizational studies and work simplification studies to help streamline business processes.
  • Identify and recommend procedures to improve performance of MSS processes and coordinate with personnel to implement new processes and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between Directors/Capture Team Leads, internal and external stakeholders, and program managers across the Bell enterprise supporting both domestic and international campaigns, participating in appropriate trade shows, providing required training, and assisting in compiling appropriate marketing materials.
  • Accomplish tasks related to the execution of campaign pursuits, to include facilitating communications across the Bell Business portfolio.
  • Assist in facilitating technical, programmatic, pricing and configuration gate reviews, and business information management activities using Bell and MSS internal processes.
  • Support MSS Operations monthly/weekly/quarterly business battle rhythms
  • Compile data and input for internal MSS briefings.
  • Support day-to-day MSS Operations.
  • Develop, load, and manage all MSS Ops related documentation via the MSS SharePoint site.
  • Assist in the development of annual MSS budgets, working closely with the VP of MSS and his directors, as well as the VP of Finance and or his designated finance representative.
  • Gather budget planning data for all MSS Ops and MSS related activities.
  • Assist in all MSS Ops training including new hire orientation & on-boarding coordinating with internal and external agencies.
  • Coordinate with communications and other internal agencies to plan and support customer and VIP visits as directed.

Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor's Degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is required.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven success performing in a finance, business analysis, marketing and sales, government acquisition, project management, business operations, and/or business development role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver Power Point presentations to senior leaders / executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work well independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Must be able to support, understand and operate within U.S. Government guidelines.
  • Must have proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Point.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with executive leadership.
  • Must have the ability to work in a highly dynamic, complex, and deadline-intensive environment.
  • Goal-oriented and highly self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and effectively balance priorities.
  • Must be a well-organized strategic thinker and planner.
  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Must be decisive and able to perform with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer engagement.
  • Prior experience managing a project consisting of a team of cross-functional professionals.
  • Experience at other Textron Business Units, US Dept of Defense (military or civilian), and/or US Dept of State.
