MG Education Partner

This position has potential for Hybrid work, which would include working from home as well as working from organizations across the network!

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Manager, UVMHN MG Education & Training with close working relationships with Medical Group Operations, Epic Training, Regulatory Compliance, and other UVMHN stakeholders, the MG Education Partner provides oversight and maintenance of programs within the Medical Group education and training program portfolio. This position functions as the training and operational informatics liaison to the UVMHN Epic Team. The MG Education Partner will develop and lead workforce education and training programs in a healthcare setting, focused on role-based workflows. The MG Education Partner will develop, maintain, and deliver onboarding, education, and training work plans, to include success measures and metrics, updated annually. The MG Education Partner will maintain an education and training library, coordinate training content development with applicable Subject Matter Experts and maintain the education and training platform(s). The MG Education Partner will also work to develop, coordinate, and facilitate ongoing programs, Medical Group training events and programs and departmental trainings as outlined in the annual work plan. The MG Education Partner is a key participant on hospital and MG project teams and may lead small Medical Group specific projects.

Travel between campuses/organizations across the Network required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in education, business, computer science, or a healthcare related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

While remote work may be occasionally supported, the position requires regular onsite presence.

Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a workforce education and training environment, with experience in planning, project management and implementing onboarding, training, and educational programing. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience in healthcare informatics, expert knowledge of appropriate Epic modules and associated applications.
Instructional design expertise and knowledge of adult learning principles
Ability to work with minimum supervision and interact well with all levels of staff, leaders, and providers throughout the Network.
Experience with developing and maintaining workforce training and education programs in a healthcare setting, preferably focused on job functional workflows.
Leads by example and sets the tone of collaboration and continuous workforce development.
Ability to establish and leverage broad networks, build collaborative relationships in support of identifying evolving training needs for staff.
Experience working on quality and performance improvement processes and initiatives is preferred.
Dynamic and engaging presentation/facilitation skills with a proven ability to interact with participants in a manner that optimizes learning
Demonstrated customer focus, including the ability to build partnerships at all levels of the organization in the interest of customer focus, instilling trust and cultivating innovation in the interest of improving the experience of employees, and ultimately patients and their families. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking with an ability to work with numbers, metrics, and spreadsheets.
Demonstrates an understanding of current events in the healthcare community and translating these into relevant and applicable workforce training and education programming, including one-time and recurring trainings.
Ability to handle sensitive communications with leadership and compliance related to faculty practice and staff training and retraining, as required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong team player, able to work well independently and as a group
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, adapt to change, prioritize and meet deadlines
Technical capacity to utilize multiple information systems and Microsoft applications as required

SIGN ON BONUS:
$10,000

External candidates are eligible for a hiring bonus of $10,000. The bonus will be paid out as a $5,000 gross pay adjustment within your first paycheck; the second installment of $3,000 will be paid upon completion of one year (2,080 hours) of service in the department hired into. Amounts reflect gross pay, prior to applicable tax withholdings and deductions required by law.
