Job Summary/Description:
WLBT in Jackson, MS is seeking an experienced Meteorologist to join our six person First Alert Weather team. This person should have an engaging on-air presence and be ready for extensive severe weather coverage. The candidate will work closely with the rest of the weather team to provide market-leading coverage.
Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Analyze weather data and prepare an accurate forecast
- Present weather information across all platforms
- Use WSI to create graphics supporting the forecast
- Forecast and track severe and breaking weather situations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in meteorology or related field preferred
- At least two years of experience as a broadcast meteorologist preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team
