Responsibilities
The MHW is an integral part of the treatment team. The MHW is actively involved in providing direct or indirect care and supervision of the clients. The Mental Health Worker assists clients in performing activities of daily living within the guidelines of hospital policies and procedures. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Coast Plaza Hospital.
Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year Mental Health Worker experience working with psychiatric patients either in an inpatient, residential, outpatient setting or comparable equivalent, preferred.
AA Degree / Equivalent Education in a related field is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
