Connections Personnel located in Scotch Plains has a temp to hire opening in Mountainside 9am-530pm for a mental health agency in their call center working as an Access Specialist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the influx of company referrals via telephone, fax, and e-mail; respond to all referrals within 30 minutes.

Provides an exceptionally responsive internal and external customer experience.

Schedule all initial Outpatient appointments on the calendar in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Assign and track open Intensive In-Community (IIC) referrals/inquiries and contact referral sources if unable to assign.

Escalate to the appropriate Program Manager with any challenges securing an IIC clinician or an Outpatient appointment in a timely fashion.

Ensure all required client information is accurately entered and updated in the appropriate data repository.

Record, report and monitor inquiries, inquiry conversions and referrals daily in the company data repository.

Create a complete client profile in the company (EMR) system for every referral received and document all communications and outcomes.

Follow Strength and Needs Biopsychosocial (BPS) Policy and Procedure for IIC to obtain referral information and send inquiries out to IIC BPS providers.

Open IIC clients in HALO.

Review CYBER daily to monitor IIC authorizations and reauthorizations; ensure open referrals for IIC (BPS assessments or missing referrals) are identified and staffed promptly.

Follows the Payor Status Policy & Procedure to validate individual insurance information to ensure individual has coverage for services and accurate payor status is entered into the appropriate software system.

Adheres to process for Presumptive Eligibility (PE), commercial insurance, Medicaid, or private pay/sliding scale dependent upon clients' payor status.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Possession of a High School Diploma and 2 to 3 years of customer service-related experience in a Call Center or other similar customer service environment. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Flexible, proactive, courteous, patient, and positive personality is a must.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Ability to multi-task and be highly organized.

Spanish-speaking (fluency) REQUIRED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
