We're searching for a Member Services Specialist who will provide superlative customer service to member-executives and event participants, assist Council Directors with meeting content and coordination for in-person and virtual events and will serve as a major point of contact for members, particularly to resolve issues.

Candidate must be able to periodically report to work in Arlington, VA. If not located within driving distance, the candidate will need to relocate to the area. Manufacturers Alliance does not reimburse moving expenses.

Job Responsibilities

Member Facing

• Ensure that member-facing materials are published accurately and timely
• Manage service activity, including scheduling orientation calls, check-in calls, renewal calls, team calls, and other calls as needed
• Provide member service and support by answering member phone calls and emails
• Support member participation at events including council meetings, roundtables, and webinars
• Issue continuing education credits as applicable for events

Non-Member Facing

• Work with Council Directors, to maintain accuracy of membership and member contact record
• Support the promotion of council events via the website, online campaigns, and printed promotion materials (as needed)
• Coordinate meeting attendance including processing registrations, tracking intent to attend, liaising with hotel meeting personnel, and liaising with member administrative staff
• Support the timely completion of all meeting activities from initial planning through meeting completion and prepare all onsite meeting materials including presentation files, name badges, tent cards, attendance lists among other items
• Format, upload, and maintain accurate council materials on the website and for print (when required)
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree or certification in relevant area of study preferred

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of relevant member services experience with membership meetings; OR Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of member services or related experience

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In depth knowledge of and experience in membership-based customer service
• Experience with event management and coordination
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously with a strong attention to detail
• Quickly and easily adapt to changing needs, evolving priorities, and urgent situations
• Work independently with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
• Functional experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Hubspot, Salesforce, and other data management systems
• Familiarity with Asana and/or SharePoint a plus
• Mature professional demeanor and ability to interact with senior business executives
• Excellent written and oral communication

Working at Manufacturers Alliance

Manufacturers Alliance generally maintains a remote office environment with available co-working space. Periodic in-person meetings are held in Rosslyn, VA as needed (typically 1-2 per month). Metro accessible for in-person meetings and social events. Travel is required approximately 5-10% of the time.
