Our Headquarters office is seeking a Member Engagement Specialist to work proactively with new and existing members within a newly formed outbound engagement department. In this role, you will be communicating with both existing and potential members, connecting or reconnecting them with services that will save lives.
This position is fully remote (work from home). Although the position is remote, preference will be given to candidates local to and familiar with the communities we serve in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts or Vermont.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The starting pay range for this position is $18.53 to $25.00 per hour.
Responsibilities for Member Engagement Associate include, but are not limited to:
- Making phone calls, writing emails, or writing text messages to prior members to begin the process of starting services back with BLP.
- Answering phone calls, text messages, and emails, as well as addressing work tickets, throughout the day as they arrive in a timely manner.
- Reaching out to new and potential members provided by community partners to explain our services and offer support.
- Addressing assigned work tickets regarding member retention, member engagement, or requested follow-ups to provide requested resources.
- Working with our other teams on individual issues that may arise with our members.
- Handling records requests and releases of information while ensuring the confidentiality of our Members and within the regulations of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
- Other tasks assigned by the Member Engagement Manager.
Qualifications for a Member Engagement Associate:
- Experience with Member Retention or Member Engagement and working in a cell-center environment with multiple tasks assigned.
- Experience with phone-based etiquette in a customer service role.
- Experience using Google Drive and all programs therein, including but not limited to: Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Mail.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn, be flexible, and acclimate as the company expands.
- Excellent time management, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- The ability to efficiently communicate in a decentralized team environment and work both in team settings and independently.
- Must have internet service with minimum upload/download ability.
- Company will provide equipment (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset) plus a remote work stipend.
- Must have a quiet space to speak to members with minimal background noise.
- Must understand the importance of protected health information and ensure any data/information is not visible to others.
