MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT NURSE BENEFITS PACKAGE TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT NURSE POSITION SUMMARY
The MAT nurse works as part of a team with the MAT Case Manger to manage all aspects of pt. care for incarcerated individuals receiving Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder and support a recovery-oriented system of care within the facility.
- Dispense MAT medications
- Monitor medication adherence
- Medication inventory management
- Initial and ongoing SUD (substance use disorder) assessment and evaluation
- Care coordination
- Health promotion
- Comprehensive transitional care and re-entry planning
- Collaborate with community treatment providers and social support services
- Documentation and data collection
MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT NURSE REQUIRMENTS
LPN license; RN or previous substance use treatment experience preferred
