We are hiring immediately! We're needing a female Medical Services Technician at our Shoreline branch. Join THS and help us meet the demand for behavioral health services in the Puget Sound region.

Medical Services Technician Responsibilities & Daily Tasks

  • Monitors patient’s urine specimen collection by direct observation.
  • Reports to nurse any unusual specimens received or patient incidents related to leaving of specimen.
  • Completes incident reports.
  • Retrieves intake and other urines from reception area daily.
  • Completes lab requisition forms in duplicated, for all urines collected. Packages specimens for lab.
  • Records urine test results on patient U/A record sheet.
  • Checks supplies regularly and submits requests for orders as necessary.
  • Helps maintain an orderly environment.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, collaborates with other staff in patient treatment as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
As of September 1, 2021, all THS employees will be required to be fully vaccinated (one dose of the Johnson & Johnson or two doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines). You must submit proof of vaccination upon hire.
