Job Summary:

Active Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a full-time Medical Insurance and Collections Specialist to join our expanding multispecialty team of Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Practitioners and Exercise Specialists to verify insurance benefits, collect and post insurance payments and send patient statements. We currently have openings in our location: Rio Grande, NJ. The position includes 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. No weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Posting insurance payments via check/paper EOB and Electronic Remittance Advise
• Patient Statements
• Appealing denied claims
• Insurance authorizations
• Aging Reports
• Accounts Receivable

Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience with medical billing/collections
• Insurance verification experience preferred
• Insurance collections and posting experience preferred
• Friendly, GREAT communicator and willing to take initiative
