Job Summary - Medical Extender (LPN, EMT or Certified MA)

The Medical Extender role is characterized by front desk administration including answering the phone, greeting patients at the time of arrival, providing the correct paperwork for patients, and reviewing it for completion, communicating with the medical staff to ensure prompt care, and administering audiometric testing.

Duties:

• Coordinate with medical care team members and assist with treatment plan
• Prepare and maintain cleanliness of treatment areas
• Greet and receive plant employees when they arrive for appointments
• Help the staff with patient interaction and engagement
• Guide and escort patients to treatment rooms and rehabilitation gyms
• Assist medical and rehab staff in performing complicated treatments
• Complete administrative duties including medical documentation and scheduling
• Assist with inventory needs, storage, and organization
• Administer audiometric testing
• Perform basic first aid
• Review and file medical documents
• Understand and utilize computer programs and EMR
• May perform medical screens within scope of care

Qualifications:

• Licensure or certification in state of employment within associated profession
• 2 years of medical administration experience

Hours: 7AM -3PM, subject to change based on client needs

Environment: Occupational health setting

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to push, pull, lift 50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting and computer usage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
