Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL is currently seeking a fulltime medical dosimetrist. The medical center has state of the art technology. The radiation department is ACR, CoC and NAPBC accredited and committed to the highest standards of patient care. Rush Copley currently has 2 medical physicists and 1 dosimetrist.

· Varian TrueBeam STx machine with Exactrac
· Varisource HDR Unit: Will be replaced with Bravos in summer of 2023
· Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT Simulator
· ARIA R&V System and EPIC EMR
· Eclipse and Brachyvision for Treatment Planning
· IPLAN/Elements for Radiosurgery
· Radformation Clear Check and EZ Fluence Software
· MU Check Calculation Software
· Mobius 3D Patient QA Software
· Sun Nuclear QA Equipment
· Standard Imaging Pipspro Software for TG142
Job Duties Include:
- Clinical support of patient care, including support with patient simulations, planning, QA, and plan reviews
- Actively involved in dosimetry planning, which includes IMRT, RapidArc, SRS, SBRT and 3D planning
- Clinical support of brachytherapy procedures which includes simulations and treatment planning
- Willing to help physics with patient QA and machine QA
- Actively involved in HDR Brachytherapy planning, such as partial breast radiation and GYNE implants
- Assist in treatment planning QA
- Participate in chart rounds
- Assist in updating and creating new policy and procedures for the department
- Involved in ACR reaccreditation process
- Consult with other physics, physician, dosimetry, and therapist staff in the implementation of new treatment protocols
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible. Candidate must have great communication skills, be personable, hard-working, flexible, and enjoy working with highly motivated professionals.
Rush Copley is located in the Western Suburbs, about 40 miles from downtown Chicago, with easy access via car or Metra trains. The Aurora area offers Broadway musical theater, the largest water park in Illinois, Chicagoland’s largest outlet shopping center, outdoor trails along the Fox River and beautiful Starved Rock State Park around 50 miles away. Fine dining, attractions and shopping are located nearby. Aurora is surrounded by wonderful suburbs, including Naperville, Batavia, Geneva, St.Charles, Oswego, Sugar Grove, Yorkville, and Plano.

Pay: $45.66 - $70.78 per year
