We’re growing rapidly and we’re seeking motivated, customer oriented, passionate coworkers to join us. We’re currently seeking Call Center Representatives in our Overland Park, KS office working Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

As a Call Center Representative for our medical facilities, you’ll have the opportunity to answers calls, schedule and reschedule appointments, enter personal data of the patient into medical systems and communicate effectively with patients. In this role, you'll perform a variety of tasks in support of daily operations, including but not limited to:

  • Promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
  • Accurately schedule all new and existing patients with appropriate provider utilizing schedule guidelines
  • Answer multi-line telephone system, take accurate messages, screen and direct telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner
  • Accurately acquire and input demographic and insurance information for all patients
  • Send via email next day schedules to appropriate providers
  • Work independently and exercise exceptional phone etiquette, communication and customer service skills.
  • Maintain a positive, courteous and professional and professional demeanor with patients and other staff.
  • Utilize phone systems for incoming/outgoing calls, while working in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all internal and external communications as appropriate.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while multitasking in an ever changing environment.
  • The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Participates in department and clinic meetings as well as professional development activities.
  • Understands HIPAA regulations and maintains the strictest coDnfidentiality at all times. Has read and understands the company’s HIPAA Privacy Policy.
  • Complies with all regulatory requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, Ascentist Policies and Procedures and Ascentist Employee Handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned/necessary.

Qualified candidates will possess a High Diploma or equivalent, demonstrate success performing substantially similar essential functions and demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Other qualifications include:

  • Demonstrates basic math and accounting skills
  • Demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email (Outlook or Gmail)
  • Clean background check and drug screen
  • Demonstrates proven verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and understand to patients, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Proven track record in reliability and dependability
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrates friendly, personal, and timely customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently without supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in an ever changing environment.
  • Proven track record in effectively planning, organizing and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a positive, courteous demeanor with all patients and colleagues
  • Demonstrates understanding of and experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use general office equipment including phones, fax machines, copiers and other similar office technology on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external communications to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must have a personal vehicle with the ability to drive to various office locations
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with all regulatory requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, Ascentist Policies and Procedures and Ascentist Employee Handbook

Candidates with experience working in a clinical call center environment and/or the ability to speak and understand other languages are preferred.
