AllCare Family Medicine Vienna, VA 22182
$20 - $23 an hour
This position does require 3 days at 12 hr shifts (8am-8pm) with possibility of some weekends (9am-2pm).
AllCare Family Medicine is seeking talented and passionate medical assistants. Looking for an experienced enthusiastic individual who is capable of multi-tasking and willing to learn new procedures. Salary commensurate with experience. This position is working 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Obtaining patient vital signs, medical history, surgical history, medication history etc.
- Assist providers with medical procedures (lacerations, Pap-smears, I&D’s)
- Prepare and give injections (medications and vaccinations)
- Specimen collection (blood, urine, stool, etc.)
- Perform EKG’s
- Hearing and Visual screenings
- Ear/ Eye Irrigation
- Clean wounds
- Take phone messages for providers (ex: Rx refills)
- Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
- Assisting at the front desk
Job Requirements:
- Must have at least two years’ experience as a medical assistant in Primary care/ Urgent Care setting
- Must have Pediatric patient experience
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must have strong clinical skills
- Must be able to work independently and on a team
- Must have problem solving skills
- EMR experience preferred (AthenaNet)
- Experience with inventory/stocking medical supplies
- Professional demeanor
Must be able to draw blood (Phlebotomy experience required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
